Access solutions designed for strength, safety, and site-specific needs

At Beckhill Engineering, we design and manufacture custom staircases, gantries, ramps, and access platforms to meet industrial safety and structural standards. Whether for external fire escapes, internal machinery access, or elevated walkways, our fabrications are tailored to suit the environment, load requirements, and usage patterns.

Our external staircases—like the galvanised unit shown—are constructed from heavy-duty mild steel and finished with anti-slip treads and weather-resistant coatings. These units are designed for low-maintenance longevity and safe use in all conditions, securely anchored with plate-mounted feet and robust welded railings.

We also produce mezzanine access stairs and gantries fabricated from I-beams and channel sections. These modular builds are assembled in our workshop with bolted or welded construction, customised to match surrounding infrastructure and load ratings. For more confined or specialist applications, we manufacture bespoke access platforms—such as the compact ladder-access platform used in plant rooms for pipework inspection. These units combine diamond tread plate with fall prevention features, ensuring compliance with confined space and safety standards.

Mobile solutions, like our stainless steel step units on lockable castors, offer cleanroom-compatible mobility and hygienic design. Additionally, we produce simple yet effective access ramps formed from chequer plate aluminium with integral safety lips for warehouse or trolley transfer points.
